Origination Team Analyst (full-time)


sPower, headquartered in Salt Lake City with offices in San Francisco, Long Beach and New York City, is a leading independent power producer (IPP) which owns and/or operates more than 150 utility and distributed electrical generation systems across the US. Position: Origination Team Analyst (full-time)
Department: Origination
Reports to: SVP, Origination
Key Interactions: This position will work closely with the land, development, legal, permitting, finance & interconnection teams.
Location: Richmond, Virginia

sPower, a leading renewable energy developer and independent power producer, is currently seeking a highly motivated Analyst to work with the origination team in the Richmond, VA Office. The ideal candidate will research renewable policy, create power marketing value propositions, and assist with project financial analysis and modeling. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the renewable industry to help us contribute to the fast-paced growth of our company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


• Research and analyze demand in various markets
• Identify potential customers and marketing opportunities
• Generate power marketing value proposition and analytical toolkits
• Assist in project financial modeling
• Assist in contract negotiations
• Update and maintain Salesforce database


Desired Skills and Expertise:


• Strong interest in sustainable technology and renewable energy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Office
• High attention to detail, and exceptional organization skills
• Strong research and writing skills
• Ability to address complex issues, and come up with creative solutions
• Strong work ethic and ability to see projects through the finish line
• Quick learner, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• 1-3 years of experience in a related industry




• BS/BA with Major in environmental studies, business, engineering, or other related field

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
• This job involves frequent travel to customer locations, other sPower office locations and development sites
